Henrietta hovers close to the nest, sometimes standing beside it, sometimes down inside it. She is no doubt contemplating motherhood.
I have only seen Rufous a couple of times during the past few days, as the nest remodeling is complete. Rufous’ latest job appears to be providing Henrietta’s meals.
April 6
There is no sign of Henrietta. I believe that she is deep inside the huge nest, warming the eggs that will soon become hawk chicks.
